The Aerospace Museum of California Announces the Bob Hoover Scholarship
The Aerospace Museum of California announces a $10,000 scholarship to honor legendary aviator Bob Hoover. This scholarship will be awarded to one college-bound graduating senior.
Bob Hoover was a military veteran, test pilot, stunt pilot, and ambassador of aviation, and who was a friend and supporter of the Aerospace Museum of California. Hoover always encouraged students to “learn how to do it, figure it out, you are the only one who can make it happen. Don’t give up if that’s what you really wish to do.”
In the spirit of his life and career, the Aerospace Museum of California is offering this scholarship and welcomes applications from graduating high school seniors who aspire to major in a science, technology, engineering or math with emphasis in aviation or aerospace.
Eligible applicants must graduate in spring/summer 2017 from a high school located within one of the following eight counties: Sacramento, Placer, Yolo, Yuba, Sutter, Amador, San Joaquin, or El Dorado.
